Otto Tetens – Notes from Samoa

Between 1902 and 1905, German natural scientist and astronomer Otto Tetens lived on the island of Upolu in the southwestern Pacific. During his time there, Tetens kept diaries of animals and plant life, as well as recordings of people’s daily lives. These diaries have been digitised and transcribed for the viewer to experience in the Übersee-Museum collections.
